Viv Anderson MBE has been appointed as the Patron of The Basil Skyers Myeloma Foundation, formed in memory of its namesake, Basil Skyers, Viv Anderson’s first cousin, who died of Multiple Myeloma in August, 2010. Multiple Myeloma is the second commonest form of blood cancer for which there is no cure, and about which there is limited understanding. Through the Foundation, Viv Anderson is seeking to fill the current vacuum in basic support of a non medical nature for people living with Multiple Myeloma, and to assist in raising awareness about the condition in the wider community.
As Viv Anderson knows from the experience in his own family, following a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, sufferers are utterly bewildered by a condition about which there is very limited understanding. There is a lack of financial, social and emotional support and this brings with it, increased social isolation. The effect of this goes beyond the individual Myeloma sufferer and affects children, husbands, wives, partners and their wider networks of carers, family and friends.

Passoker CEO Stuart Carr, who was at ICE in London this week with the company's director Viv Anderson MBE, commented: “Signing with one of the best known names in the business in William Hill is a hugely significant agreement for Passoker. The deal massively expands our potential audience, with the opportunity to play Passoker at williamhill.com set to open the game up to a vast number of extra users.”
The non-skill game can be played on any live televised event, players just choose the event they are interested in and the stakes they want to bring to the table and they are then randomly assigned a table for the game to begin.
Each player is assigned a card at random based on what will happen next during a live event, for example in a football game it could be a corner, offside, goal, free-kick etc. The player holding the winning card scoops the stakes off the other players, the cards are then reshuffled and the game starts again.
